Jotting notes.

My turn to rant about NBC's moronic decision to delay Olympic broadcast to West Coast viewers.

Make more money and have more disgruntled viewers. That must be NBC’s model. These are the unncessary steps I had just gone through right now after failing the previous three nights to ensure I’ll watch the events “live”:

  • First, while checking on some baseball scores, I directly linked to espn.com/mlb instead of espn.com to avoid seeing the highlights.
  • Next, I tweeted this to let my followers know.
  • Less than a minute I sent the tweet, my friend sent me an IM about to reveal the results. I quickly stopped her.
  • Finally, after this post, I have to abandon my BlackBerry and computers.

All this trouble so I can watch the events with excitement — particularly Phelps two races and women’s gymnastics team final. This is a terrible way to treat viewers, NBC.
